Here’s what Guests Wrote About our Sedona Retreats
“We benefited so much from our first Sedona Spirit Yoga Retreat that we came back for another retreat within a year with two friends. Both retreats were very rewarding and have given us the tools for relaxing, looking inward and getting more in touch with ourselves. It’s been a true learning experience that has changed our lives for the better.”
— Dan and Karen Gallistel, Madison, WI

What can I say but WOW!
“Dear Johanna, What can I say but WOW! Your leadership of our 4-day Sedona Spirit Yoga and Hiking Vortex Retreat was superb. From your expertise in hiking the Red Rocks of Sedona, to your extensive knowledge of yoga, to your attunement to the energy of the ecosystem—you are a masterpiece of nature! The first time we spoke on the telephone, your vivacious personal energy immediately established rapport. I was delighted to experience four glorious days in spiritual renewal and rejuvenation with you in beautiful Sedona AZ. As a result, I am amazed at my newly-found clarity of purpose. I highly recommend you, your heartfelt presence, your passion for helping people, and your awesome retreat to anyone needing a well-being boost!
Much love and appreciation to you,”

About your Sedona Retreat Leader:
Johanna Maheshvari Mosca, Ph.D
Johanna leads retreat gong meditation
My vision for myself and my students is to make life a moving meditation in which we cultivate ongoing peace and contentment. I have published three books related to living the wisdom of Yoga—YogaLife: 10 Steps to Freedom; Cultivate Contentment: Using Ancient Wisdom to Thrive in Today’s World; and most recently, Teen Triumph: 10 Ways to a Winning Life. Starting in the 1990’s, I have completed numerous trainings with two 200-hour certifications in Kripalu Yoga and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. Then I earned my 500 hours with the International Yoga College, studying mainly with Rama Jyoti Vernon. I followed that with two weeks in India, studying with TVK Desikachar and his son Kaustub at the Krishnamacharya Mandarim. In recent years, my focus on learning techniques to still the babbling mind has led me to complete two meditation teacher trainings, first 200-hours with the McLean Meditation Institute. Then I went on to pursue my current passion, studying I-Rest (Inner Restoration) Meditation with Richard Miller, and completing his teacher trainings I and II. As a former “teacher specialist” for the NYC Public Schools, I have experience meeting my students at their own level and helping them stretch to the next stage of growth, whatever that might be for each individual. I feel honored and grateful when other beings trust me to guide them in Yoga and consciousness expanding reflection on the spiritual path.
