Our intimate accommodations include three large bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms and a wonderful six-jet Jacuzzi indoor bathtub as well as another bath tub and two showers. The bedrooms are decorated in sage and beige to blend with the scenic views from each bay window.  Beds (13 beds altogether) have new mattresses, pillows and linens and soft cotton blankets and comforters.

The Lodge has a magnificent, fully-stocked kitchen, but no services as it is rented as a vacant residence. On the scenic two-acre grounds, there is a Native-American style stone medicine wheel, a Ganesha Arbor of blue spruce trees with curved concrete benches, and two meditation nooks. The back entrance has a roofed patio for outdoor breakfast, facing a cascading Goddess fountain on the mountain behind it, with several seating areas with luxurious lawn furniture. The rear mountain has benches high on the hill, perfect for watching the sun rise or star gazing, and a direct view of sacred Sugarloaf Mountain across the road.

5.warrior.misc._230_000The unfurnished family/meeting room, which the owner uses for Yoga, is decorated with sacred art, statues and batiks of divine ones and Hindu gods and goddesses, and giant crystal clusters.  The luxurious Contentment Lodge is comfortably heated by propane or cooled by air conditioning or swamp cooler and has decorative electric fire-place heaters and fans in every room.

The site is ideal for group gatherings and offers a very uplifting, peaceful energy. The grounds are serene with views of rolling fields of cacti, a neighboring vineyard, and a distant view of Sedona’s red rocks.

Yogi-owner Johanna Mosca maintains a lovely home setting at her Lodge residence.  Having lived in the Sedona area for 20+ years, Johanna can refer you to all of the best restaurants and places of interest and a great number of gifted healers, psychics and bodyworkers to enhance your journey. She has created a packet of information about local stores, restaurants, and places of interest, which she sends to guests once they have secured a rental agreement.

Comments from “Contented” Guests:

Johanna is super organized and prepared our Contentment “nest” beautifully. The place is immaculate, with sacred touches everywhere. We had a beautiful experience. Very quiet, peaceful, and close enough to Sedona’s sacred energy and hikes.
Roy Holman, Yoga Instructor and Author

As for Contentment Lodge, I really liked it.  I would rather stay in a lodge than in hotel rooms.  I liked sleeping there, and I liked that the place was sort of isolated and that we could hear coyotes.  Cornville and Harry’s Hideaway are cool.  I give Contentment Lodge two thumbs up.
Elaine Schuler, Guest

Beginning and ending the day at the Contentment Lodge was like waking up and returning to the comforts of home. I received exactly what I needed during my stay. I am working to continue the lessons learned and maintain the peace I achieved in Sedona until my next visit.

Johanna: I can’t believe it’s been over a week since I left Contentment Lodge. I just wanted to write and let you know how lovely the surroundings were and how much I enjoyed my time there. The quiet nooks that you have set up around the property are perfect for solitude without leaving the house, and the sunrise is actually a full-blown event. The evening is actually the best though…the stars in sky without any distractions, are just magnificent! Thanks very much for sharing your joy-filled space.
Sincerely, Maureen

We have had the most amazing retreat experience! If we were going to design a setting for our group, this would be exactly what we would want.  Truly the energy here is so amazing and everything was just perfect. None of us wants to leave! I am hoping we can do this again next year and hopefully you will have us back! Thank you so much for the love that you have poured into creating this space and for your willingness to share it with us. We have all felt at home! Sending much love to you!
–Nancy Nicholas, Intuitive Life Coach

Johanna–Our group thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Contentment Lodge.  As we are a group of Earth Keepers and Healers, we were initially drawn to your medicine wheel, room for yoga, meditation spots, and the wonderful spiritual icons scattered about the property.  One of the most important practical assets to our travelers was the really comfortable beds and plentiful hot water. We even liked your movie selection! You have pretty much thought of everything to please your guests. Your lodge is practical and serene at the same time, and it’s obvious that you have put a lot of love into the property. Thank you for all your do. We will be back next year!
